100 Details in 100 Days: Day 20
Ironing silk ribbon...
I iron all of the silk ribbon I dye with an actual iron. It makes sense, I mean I am dyeing in a batch, so I am ironing in a batch. They used to be hanging all over the place, until I discovered these nifty little gadgets.

When I am ready to actually use the ribbon, I iron it again, but most of the time I use a straightening iron. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and works well. This particular model has wide plates and is a very compact design that fits nicely in the hand.

I almost never iron ribbon before I put it away. I usually wait until I am actually ready to work with it, because no matter how carefully you store ribbon, it is bound to get wrinkled, creased or unruly. If you do not have a straightening iron, a curling iron or craft iron also work very well for a quick touch-up.

Rissa, we just saw those clothes hanger/ dryers in a movie about some Japanese children. I never dreamed they were in the States. Where did you get yours? I really would like to get some, too. BTW, really enjoying the 100 Details series. Thank you. :0)
The blue one came from Ross Dress for less...and the orange one was a gift. Glad someone is enjoying the effort *and* commenting. It makes a big difference.
