Illustrations for Friday and EDM Challenges

Well, since I am already doing Every Day Matters, I thought I would toss in something in honor of Illustration Friday. Neither of these is the topic for the week, but it is Friday and these are illustrations. I have a Tablet PC that I adore and although I have several art programs, including Adobe Illustrator, I downloaded a trial version of Alias Sketchbook Pro. Neither of these is great, but I am happy with them. And for you Yankees; yes, they still make TaB cola. I am okay with TaB energy, but I have been addicted to TaB cola for over two decades.




True to my word, I drew the EDM Challenge 1 again, this time with a more comfortable shoe. It was easier to draw, even though it was dark brown suede. It had more character and the wear pattern gave me some good ideas about tone and shading.


Oh yeah, and last night I found a quiet moment with the pencil and sketchbook in my lap while Louie slept on the far end of the sofa. I did not know if I would get it finished before he woke up. He did move around some, but I was able to get the major lines worked out before he shifted too much. He was in "Cletus the Fetus" mode, with his legs curled underneath him. BTW, I was not on drugs, Louie is a miniature Black Dachshund, you know, half as tall and twice as long as the average small dog.
