Spinning wheels have to go round

Well, since Delia asked I thought I should let everyone know, I am getting more comfortable with the wheel. I watched the "Spinning and Weaving the Ashford Way" video and figured out why I was having trouble with the wheel. The wheel was out of whack, the e-clip was missing, and the wheel was way out of alignment. I went to Ace Hardware and got an e-clip and got my allen wrench to tighten up the frame. Then I adjusted the screws on the mother of all and aligned the wheel with the pulleys.

Needless to say, it was spinning much better after all of that. I have an almost full spindle of Muppet Guts. I am debating filling another one and trying regular plying or try Navajo plying! LOL

I really need to get back to working on my name tag for EGA National Seminar. I am so excited that it is less than two weeks away. Lisa is planning to come over this weekend to try out some of my portable frames, because she needs one for her class. I have not even gotten my supplies together! Talk about procrastination. Ugh.

Rissa, it all depends on the look you are trying to achieve. If you want to keep the colors distinct and separate in the yarn, then Navajo plying is the way to go. If you want to see how the colors meld, change and combine together, then traditional plying would be the answer. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do decide though, as I really like all of those colors a lot! :)

Rissa, you're spinning...On a wheel! See, I go on vacation and come back and you have taken your spinning to another level ;-)

Looks like you've got the hang of it. Can't wait to see the skeins.
